For the cake ghosts, in a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder. Lightly beat the egg.

Add the brown sugar, oil and buttermilk and mix well. Then gently fold in the flour mixture.

Spread the batter into the wells of a baking sheet for popsicle cakes. Bake in the oven at 160 degrees (convection oven) for about 20-25 minutes.

Remove the cake pieces from the tray and let cool on a cooling rack. Melt the chocolate coating in a saucepan in a bain-marie while stirring.

Dip the cake ghosts in the chocolate coating and let them dry a bit, then make eyes with sugar pearls and paint on mouths with dark chocolate coating.

You can also add stems to the finished cake ghosts and have cake pops.
