For the potato gratin, first cut the potatoes into thin slices. The best way to do this is with a food processor. Boil the potatoes in water for five minutes.
Then strain them and put them in an oven dish. Bring the whipped cream to a boil and stir in 2/3 of the grated cheese until the cheese has melted.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Then pour over the potatoes and cover with the remaining cheese.
Bake at 160 °C for about 30 minutes.
Preparation Tip:
The potato gratin tastes even spicier if you mix in some onion or chives. It also gets more pep with bacon cubes.
