For the Cuban meat stew, first peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.

In a large enough pot, fry the onion cubes in the oil. Add the minced meat and stir well again and again. Season with garlic, chili, cinnamon and new spice. Stir in raisins and tomato paste.

Deglaze with the vinegar. Pour in beef broth and tomatoes (and juice). Bring to a boil. Turn down the heat and let the stew simmer for about fifteen minutes. Season the Cuban meat stew with salt and pepper before serving.
